Bales Ash Campsite

.HOW TO FIND US 

From the B3127 

Come through the village of High Bickington (with Atherington behind you) past the Golden Lion on your left and proceed out of the village passing a Community Centre Sign and then leaving the buildings behind you. The road narrows and bends. On your left you will pass a lone white house followed by a high hedge and then you will see a detached grey clad  house on the left hand side called Whitebridge Boarding Kennels. Turn left immediately in front of the kennels. Follow the lane along until there is a right hand turn next to a No Through road sign. TURN RIGHT here following the signs for Bales Ash (ignoring your sat nav which may try to take you down the no through road - VERY bad idea!) and follow the lane down until you see buildings on your right - carry on past the closed wooden gate and the open black gates - you will see a stone barn 'The Shepherds Barn' on your left,  the campsite entrance is opposite on your right. Enter the campsite through the metal barred gate which is set back from the lane on your right. Please close the gate behind you.

From the A377 

From the A377 at Kingford (between Portstmouth Arms and Umberleigh) follow the sign for High Bickington up Kingford Hill. Towards the top of the hill you pass holiday lodge signs on your right.  Soon after this as a skidding car warning sign is on your left. Turn right at the sign for Bales Ash.  Proceed uphill for about 1/4 mile and the campsite entrance is through a metal barred gate on your left (opposite a small stone barn on your right). Please close the gate behind you.
